AQUA BLASTING

Aqua blasting is a process of cleaning parts back to their original 'as new' finish. Also known as Vapour blasting or Wet blasting. Various media is used to achieve the correct finish to the metal. The media is forced under pressure with hot water to give a silky satin finish which can then be painted, laquered or left bare. An anti corrosion additive is also included to help prevent studs, etc. from rusting after cleaning. This process is not as harsh as dry blasting so can be used on delicate items such as carburetors. Aqua blasting is suitable for all non ferrous metals including Aluminium, Magnesium, Titanium, Brass, copper and Stainless Steel. Here at F & J Motorcycles we offer a multi stage process. Parts are firstly placed in the hot wash cleaning machine to thoroughly clean and degrease before secondly chemically removing any paint or laquer. The parts are then vapour blasted before having a final rinse clean and dry.

FOR FERROUS METALS WHICH MAY TAKE A LTTLE
LONGER BUT IT IS MUCH LESS LIKELY TO DAMAGE

ULTRASONIC

Another service we offer, which compliments Vapour Blasting, is Ultrasonic Cleaning. Ultrasonic Cleaning uses high frequency sound waves through liquid to effectively remove dirt and contaminants such as stale fuel.

GENTLE PROCESS

It provides a powerful yet gentle cleaning process for all hard to reach areas. What it won`t do is remove staining and general dulling of aluminium. Vapour blasting will restore that "as new" finish.

SAFE PROCESS

It is non caustic and non abrasive, so is very popular for internal cleaning of carbs, jets, etc. Ultrasonic cleaning uses Cavitation bubbles induced by high frequency pressure (sound) waves to agitate a liquid which provides an effective cleaning method.

SOLUTIONS

Ultrasonic cleaning penetrates even microscopic openings to provide complete cleaning of the objects treated. This makes it one of the most effective, economical and powerful cleaning methods available especially in small delicate components..
